Silica-silica high OH- PYROCOAT step-index fibers consist of a pure silica core with a silica cladding for high damage threshold and high performance optical properties. They have a high OH- concentration for efficient power transmission from UV through visible wavelengths.
Silica-silica high OH- PYROCOAT fibers are coated with PYROCOAT polyimide for operation in extreme temperatures. In addition, hermetic coating under the PYROCOAT is also available for durability in the harshest environments.
